Mott Avenue Interborough Rapid Transit Station Entrance

May 1, 2016 / Category: Bronx Survey / Posted by: Emilio Guerra

Mott Avenue Interborough Rapid Transit Station EntranceLocation: 485 Grand Concourse (Tax Address Is 150 East 149 Street), Block: 2346, Lot: 43.

    Status: C. 1905.
Notable mainly because of the glazed terra-cotta plaques adorning the East 149th Street facade. Although “Mott Avenue” is emblazoned on the structure just below the cornice, this thoroughfare no longer exists, having been replaced by the Grand Concourse.
