    Location: 1749 Grand Concourse, Block: 2822, Lot:19.

    Status: Never landmarked or heard.The building has been through a lot but is making a comeback. The 278-unit building just got a mortgage note for $37.1 million.

    Description from the Bronx Survey:The grandest of the many apartment houses lining the Concourse, the Lewis Morris was built to rival similar buildings on Park Avenue in Manhattan at a time when this area of the Bronx was a haven for the upper-middle class.
