    Hook and Ladder 31

April 23, 2016 / Category: Bronx Survey / Posted by: Emilio Guerra

    Hook-and-Ladder-31_02Location: 1213 Intervale Avenue, Block: 2973,  Lot: 38.

Status: Never landmarked or heard. Became famous as ground zero near West Farm fires in the 1970s.

    Description from the Bronx Survey:

    Alexander Stevens, 1905.

Handsome graphics, a Spanish tile roof, and a facade of buff Roman brick are all details that enable Hook and Ladder 31 to make an above average architectural impression along Intervale Avenue.
