Neighbors had lodged complaints, warning the once-beautiful\u00a0free-standing Second-Empire style residence was abandoned. The porch apparently collapsed in the winter of 2007-2008, and the building fence was dangerously protruding, after at least three years of being abandoned.<\/p>\n<p>It seemed as if the beautiful Tottenville home, on\u00a07484 Amboy Road. would be no more. Built in 1874, it was once called the most beautiful Second Empire home in the South Shore of Staten Island.
